Lyman

Houk Construction performed major surgery on this Laurel District home. The homeowner's were seeking more space for their growing family. We raised the entire ground level and constructed a new lower level to give the family the two-story home they desired. The home received new electrical, plumbing, heating and flooring throughout. Houk Construction also added a staircase for yard access and a lovely deck area.

Oakland

This Piedmont home won Houk Construction "Best Seamless Second Story Addition" in 2007. By staying within the original footprint of the home, we were able to create a two story home that pleased both the homeowner's and the neighbors. The owner's gained a second story with a master suite and second bedroom, two full baths and a cleverly concealed laundry room.

Ramona

This renovation was the result of an unfortunate water leak that occured in this Piedmont home, ruining the entryway, living room and office. Fortunately, we were able to use the homeowner's photos to try to duplicate the prior layout and structure of the home. The homeowner's were so happy with the renovation that they elected to remodel their entire kitchen to match their newly improved living areas..

Marvin Gardens

Houk Construction worked with the real estate agency, Marvin Gardens to turn a former gas station into an open and inviting workspace. We transformed a small enclosed space into a bright, airy office complete with conference rooms. Much of the wood in the office; from the desks to the room divider, was repurposed from the lanes of a now defunct bowling alley, allowing for a green remodel.
